Anytime, Anywhere Workouts!

I often receive emails from girls saying that they either:

A. don’t have access to a gym facility
or
B. they can't afford one a gym membership

To me, this is not an excuse as to why you shouldn’t exercise when there are so many amazing exercises that can get you feeling hot and sweaty pretty quickly WITHOUT a gym. 

Australian guidelines recommend that every Australian exercise for at least 30 minutes everyday.
That’s not excessive - that’s a recommendation from our medical professionals!

As this is something I am so passionate about, I would love to be able to help as many of you as I can to move more often without a gym membership, and all for FREE.
Simply through using your own body weight or with some simple equipment that can be found in your local park or around your house - you have just as much opportunity to keep active as those with gym memberships.

Remember you can add weights in the form of water bottles filled with water, objects around the home and other heavy items.
If I had to choose one item of equipment for at home workouts - it would be the simple skipping rope!

 Here is a list of some exercises that you can do anywhere, anytime!

  • Push Ups
  • Planks
  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Box Jumps
  • Tuck Jumps
  • Jump Lunges
  • Commandos
  • Sit Ups

These are all great exercises that will get your body moving and allow you to workout wherever you want - whenever you want.
Grab a pen and paper and create a handful of circuits and sessions using these movements - this is a great way to both challenge yourself and work different areas of your body.

Still need more of an idea as to how you can create a workout out of the exercises?
Here are a couple of  sample workouts for you below:

1. 

  1. 20 x Squats
  2. 50 x Skips
  3. 20 x Lunges
  4. 50 x Skips
  5. 20 x Box Jumps
  6. 50 x Skips

You can increase the intensity of these by adding weights or recording your time to see how you improve as you practise!

2.

5 Rounds: 

  1. 50 x Sit Ups
  2. 50 x Squats
  3. 50 x Jump Lunges 

This one will definitely burn!
