It seems that so many women are struggling with questions that they cannot get a clear answer for!
Here are my top FAQs uncovered for you!
Q- How can I lose fat on my upper thighs/arms/calves etc?
A- Although you cannot spot reduce fat, you can increase your metabolism to ensure you are burning faster. Fat storage often has a reason behind it- i.e. middle stomach- excess carbohydrates etc
Q- When should I do cardio? Before or after weights?
A- Weight training has better benefits from a fat loss perspective- It builds muscle (more muscle mass means a faster metabolism) it burns more calories and it takes the most amount of energy. So always do your weights first. If you can, do your cardio on another day to your weight training.
Q- Do you prefer long fasted steady state cardio or HIIT?
A- I only do HIIT for around 15 minutes.
Q- What are your must have supplements?
A- A quality protein powder, Please note that if you are struggling financially and have access to enough protein this is not a requirement.
Q- I eat 'really well' and I am still not losing weight, what could it be?
A- A lot of girls who come in for a consult may think they are eating really well. However are not having any where near enough protein, under eating, eating too much fats (raw cheesecake is the devil for this ) Eating healthy and eating for weight loss are two totally different things.
Q- How do you build a booty?
A- Ahhh the infamous question! Whilst I see girls doing little booty pulses etc frantically trying to lift their booty I look to a simple 'right in front of me' example. My husband Nathan, now Nathan has (arguably) the best glutes in Australia and was even awarded that on stage last year. Do I see him doing ankle weighted booty pulses? hell no. What he does do though, is heavy deadliest and LOW arse to grass squats- 3+ times a week. Sure, everything helps, every muscle is worked. However, keep it simple.
Q- How do you stay organised?
A- PLAN! Sunday's & Wednesdays are 'meal prep' days. Cook all meat/main meals, portion and freeze. Including children's lunch box snacks.
Q- Can you exercise during pregnancy?
A- Sure can! I just released my full ebook in regards to pregnancy nutrition & training.
Q- How can you get abs?
A- Everyone HAS abs, whether you can see them or not is due to the fat over the top. Reduce your body fat to see your visible abdominal muscles.
