Mindful Tips To Boost Your Confidence

Mindfulness is the idea of learning how to be fully present and engaged in the moment, aware of your thoughts and feelings without distraction or judgement. It is a powerful practice which can empower us to change our self-talk and grow our confidence.

Living your life mindfully helps you to see the bigger picture. So often we are moving so fast and not taking a moment to ourselves. We miss important things in life, like experiences, thoughts and feelings. We lose track of time and before long, we are living our lives on autopilot. 

Mindfulness is stopping, slowing down, and realising what surrounds us. It’s connecting with yourself, nature, and your loved ones on a deeper level. 

The practices you hold, the habits you keep and the knowledge you obtain all contribute towards living your life mindfully.

There are a number of benefits of living your life mindfully, including reduced stress, increased energy levels, improved self control, and greater confidence. 

I want to share some mindful tips below that you can start implementing today to boost your confidence and help you genuinely believe in yourself. After all, you are YOU and this is your superpower. Don’t ever forget it. 

Live purposefully

Learn to live your life with intention. Make your actions based upon your values and beliefs that you have. Let your mind guide you throughout your decisions and choices. Doing so helps open yourself up to new and important opportunities. As a result, this helps guide you seamlessly throughout your life. Living life without intention will create mess and chaos in your life. Instead, live your life according to your purpose and watch as you will be rewarded.

Practise mindfulness techniques

Stress, fear and uncertainty are often confidence crushers. If you notice your confidence is dwindling in the face of these feelings, practice a few different mindfulness techniques to bring yourself back to a place of calm, focus and clarity. 

  • Journal 
    • Take a moment every day to jot down your feelings, mindset, or thoughts. Take what is jumbled up inside and get it out on a sheet of paper. This often leads to you receiving clarity and refreshes your mind.
  • Enjoy a moment of complete stillness 
    • Everyday you should spend at least 10-15 minutes of personal reflection. A great way to do this is picking a quiet spot, closing your eyes, breathing deeply and connecting within yourself.
  • Meditate
    • Meditation draws your mind back and allows you to take a moment to reset. This ultimately helps uplift your mood, make healthier choices for your life, and motivate you to live your truth. 

Be kind

Kindness is an incredible confidence booster. When you make the conscious choice to go out of your way to be kind to someone else, you instantly feel good. And when you feel good, you can’t help but exude confidence. 

Speak to yourself with positivity and kindness

Your inner talk is the captain of your ship. It’s essential that you work on your subconscious voice daily. You can consistently work on shaping your inner voice to become an empowering, motivating, and confident place for you and your thoughts.

Here are some ways you can transform your inner voice into a positive place that ultimately leads you to a happier, more fulfilling life.

Be your own cheerleader

It can be tempting to turn to others when your self-confidence needs a boost and seek compliments, instead give yourself some time to reflect on why you believe you are worthy. Write down your qualities and as many good things about yourself as you can think of - from thoughtful things you’ve done for others to aspects you love about your personality. Don’t be shy or hold back! Declare it wildly and believe it just as fiercely.

Know who you are and do it on purpose

Confidence is a result of inner acceptance - knowing who you are, your core values, and your purpose. Confident people are sure of their values and beliefs and are open to feedback and growth. Dive deep into discovering exactly who you are, what you stand for and what you want. 

Positive affirmations

Affirmations are a direct line between you and your subconscious. They remind you of who you are, what you want, and that you have the power to create it. A sure way to boost your confidence and remind you daily that you are a Queen. Many of us are not aware of our negative thoughts or emotions that we fill in our brains. Positive affirmations help redirect those thoughts onto a positive track. It might feel or sound silly at first, but the more you practice - the more you will believe in your words. Positive affirmations manifest your dreams into your reality. Try repeating some of these positive affirmations daily:

  • I acknowledge my own self-worth; my self confidence is rising. 
  • I am worthy of all the good things that happen in my life. 
  • I am confident with my life plan and the way things are going. 
  • I deserve the love I am given. 
  • I let go of the negative feelings about myself, and accept all that is good.
